I think the gestures look very useful. Especially for multi tasking.

Did anyone else think of Palms webOS when they saw gestures?

On stage, Craig showed how Control Center is invoked, a swipe down from ”anywhere in” the notch area up top, which caused me to gasp in disappointment. CC is the most used gesture and works naturally as a swipe from the bottom. Now you’ll have to use two hands!!

Questions:

Where does that leave the Notification Center gesture?!

Could these two gestures be swappable?

According to
swiping down on the left notch brings the Notification Centre & swiping down on the right notch brings down the Control Centre.

I've been suggesting this for the old design for a while - swipe up on the left/right of the Home button for different menus, for eg. Control Centre on left & Entertainment screen on the right (to save you from swiping up, then left to access your entertainment controls).

I like how they've split the notch & given each one a different swipe down function, even if it's a little less ergonomic to reach.
