iPhone X ghosting

Are U guys experiencing some ghosting issues with ur X? For example with a black wallpaper I see some ghosting especially with folders icon. Try with this pic : zoom it in the gallery and move it up and down I see the black bars doing some ghosting and that’s so annoying while using Netflix for example.

I really need to know if it’s supposed to be normal on this freaking display or if I need to change my unit.
 
LCDs have motion blur due to the pixel response time, OLED screens have ghosting because of their refresh rate. Pick your poison!

So u guys confirm u have this effect on ur iPhone X and that it’s completely normal ? I mean there is no chance that changing the device I can get one without ghosting ?

It’s not ghosting - it’s a motion artefact known as sample and hold where basically due to the screen refresh rate of 60hz the object moving quickly is portrayed as a series of images - one per frame. LCDs don’t have this issue because the panel responds slower and smears the details in between the frames.

It’s happening only when there are black and grey near each other. That’s sad it’s a standard thing. It’s annoying me a lot.
I even found a video on you tube

I imagined the ghosting to be terrible after people complained but this is just nitpicking... for real you guys try to create environments to create artefacts. Tbh I can't be bother by that, but I'll find out when my X arrives

No wait. I’m seeing this in everyday use like: scrolling Netflix home page; using Facebook app when u scroll down the videos page and for example u get the black frame (before the video start charging like in the photo); in the homepage when I use a black wallpaper. Otherwise I would complain about it. What I’m asking if everyone get this ghosting effect in the cases I reported.

But isn't it basically the same as an LCD screen? LCD has motion blur, OLED has ghosting? In your video it doesn't really bother me.
 
How would you capture that on a screenshot??
If color "ghosting" is part of a screenshot, it's probably Apple "optimising" for OLED output.
Display artefacts can not be visible on screenshots unless it's a photo.

I didn’t want to capture the ghosting there I just wanted to show in which case I see it: scrolling that page when the video isn’t started and u get the black screen like in that photon. Ofc I can’t get the ghosting in video or screen recording

When I look at the picture he posted asking if anybody else was seeing the "ghosting" I was saying I could NOT see any ghosting in the picture and figured my home computer monitor didn't have sufficient resolution to see the ghosting in the picture he posted.

I wasn’t talking about the blurring effect u get while scrolling some text but about the ghosting it’s self with images. Or for example the ghosting u get in folder icons when moving the home page and using a black wallpaper like in the video

I see the same effects on my X too, but I’m not bothered by it. As you pointed out, it’s noticeable against black backgrounds, but I only see it when I’m quickly jiggling/scrolling the pages and trying to make it happen.
