You mean to tell me in that ugly notch Apple couldn't include a indicator light like every other flagship phone has?

Lord Apple is going backwards!

I'm not buying any phone that uses face ID. You're basically buying a device that turns on a camera, pointed at you, involuntarily.

I just got a Galaxy S8. Great phone, but the indicator light adds absolutely nothing to my experience. I can just look at the screen below it to see my notifications, so I don't see the point. I'll be fine with the iPhone X when I eventually get it.

The paranoia is wild this season. Big deal? It isn't recording or streaming it.

Why would they include it to just have it now after 10 years of not while the competition has it?
It adds cost to the phone and they want to maximize profits so they don't care what you want. More money spent on the phone for something they don't need is great right.
How I see Apple now after the 64/256 price hike.
They don't care about you. They care about maximized profit.

Like every single good business.
Loyal business work with customers. Not put them in tough situations. It's never been that bad with Apple honestly. This is pretty far.
Business should want to keep around customers. Not make it obvious of their actions.
Give options for people when they had them for the last few years. That's a good business model for future growth.

Who needs lights? I mean, is it a phone or an Xmas tree?

its very useful. you can customize different colors to represent different notifications vs. turning on your phone screen which saves power. it also looks cool (to me, I am an LED fanatic, I have strips behind my tv and behind my computer desk).

Lol. How would you know? I suggest you watch Snowden's movie, you have no idea what the CIA, NSA, hackers, are capable of.

If that's the case, they've been "capable of it" well before Face ID. This isn't enabling any specific ~spying~ ability that wasn't open before. So unless you tape up your camera, you're being "spied" on every day, iPhone X or not.

Look at the screen right? You mean like the Always On Display screen that is not on the iPhone X? Yup...you sure can. Oh...and you can also turn off the LED notification if you don't need or want it. Nice.
