I got my phone on 12-8 and it is a X 256 SG. I moved the sim card from my iPhone 6 plus to the X and restored it from a 6 plus backup. I started getting invalid sim errors on the 9th and went to ATT and got a new sim card. On the 10th the no sim installed error started and continues several times throughout the day. Sometimes restarting the phone fixes it and other times i have to eject the sim and restart the phone. Apple is jerking me around by sending my problem info to some engineers and waiting for a response on what to do next. I called Apple on Sat the 16th and they said they would get back to me by the 18th at 6pm. I believe there is something wrong with this phone! I also realized I am within my 14 days with ATT now I just have to find a store with one in stock to swap it out. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

I had somewhat similar issues a year ago with my iPhone 7. What ultimately resolved it was getting a brand new, virginal sim card from VZW and setting up the phone/new sim on the VZW network. As a side benefit, it cost nothing. Might be worth a shot. I can't tell you why it worked, but it did!
