I noticed today that when I plug in a lightning cable, there is quite a bit of play, I can wiggle it back-and-forth more than I’ve ever noticed with another iPhone. I googled this and found a couple mentions of it. Is this the same for everyone? I’m sure I didn’t damage it, I only sync with iCloud, and I only charge with a wireless charger. I only noticed it because I was listening to music in my car and it was cutting in and out. I thought it was this loose connector when I noticed it, but turns out it was just a bad cable. The lightning connector seems to work OK, just has a lot of play in it.

Same on mine. It “clicks” in quite solidly, but I still don’t like the wiggle.

I had that on my 7. Never got any worse. My X is tight. Keep an eye on it. If it gets worse, bring it to the Genius Bar.

I have read where others have mentioned the loose lightning connector. I would continue to monitor it, but if you're consistently having disconnect issues, then I would make a Genius appointment.

Same here. However, it hasn’t affected the charge. If it ever becomes an issue I’ll book an appointment.

Thanks everyone, it seems to work fine, the issue was the cable. Do I guess I’ll live iwith it, it doesn’t bother me if it normal and works fine.
