Iphone X notification

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way, to have led notification when I receive for example a message.
Because for now I don't see how I can know when I receive a notification since the screen stay black.

Also is there a possibility, when Face ID detect my face, to avoid swiping up?

Apple doesn’t have LED notifications but they do offer flash notifications so they use the camera flash and it lights up twice when you receive a message, and at this moment you haven’t to swipe up but I’m hoping in future iOS updates apple doesn’t make that necessary
