I am thinking about upgrading my 7 to the X(R) but don't want to make any compromises when it comes to display quality. I know the X(R) does not have an OLED display and still uses LCD, but is the screen better, worse, or same as my 7?

Thanks.

it will be better as per the keynote, it has better dynamic range. also, its as close to edge to edge as possible for an lcd. i would consider it an upgrade. couple that with a 7nm SoC driving an 828p display and you have a phone that sips battery. this phone will have better battery than the xs max!

tellin yall this phone will be a massive hit!

It is the same display as the iPhone 8 essentially, just bigger, rounded corners and the notch cutout. So it will be better then the iPhone 7, but not the iPhone 7+'s display.
