iPhone X Randomly locking with spinning circle on black screen

I just randomly had this issue happen to me. I woke up this morning to this issue and it was working fine yesterday when I went to sleep. It seems the screen randomly locks at times and and then a black screen comes up with a circle spinning. It does not seem to stop.... Hitting the camera button seems to trigger it as well...

Things I have tried: Rebooting the phone Erased all settings Wiped my phone and restored from a backup on November 30th

None of these are working....

Has anyone else experience a similar issue?
