Starting at the end of December (2019) and early Jan (2020), my iPhone X screen has become unresponsive. When I want to unlock my phone, it shows the little unlock symbol from face ID but doesn't let me swipe up. I've noticed that this is a common issue with the iPhone X. I've done absolutely everything to try and fix it; I've hard reset it about 100 times, I've restored it, I've done all the little things but nothing works. It will only work for like 10 minutes only for it to freeze again and 3 hard resets seem to get it back to normal, but not for long. I noticed that Apple is allowing people with this issue to get a screen or phone replacement free of charge, and I'll be going to an Apple licensed store on Friday to get it checked out. The thing I'm scared of is that the screen will probably become responsive as soon as the tech person is diagnosing and running tests on it, resulting in the phone or not-working component not being replaced. I'm really hoping I can get this phone working again as I've only had it for 3 months :(

Another thing - I bought it from Gumtree second hand, and I messaged the girl I bought it off and asked her if this was happening to her; she said no. I've never dropped it, no water damage or anything of the sort. I'm just really bummed and I really don't want to buy another phone...
