Has there been any inside information leaked yet regarding ship times of the X? Will the earliest preordered units be delivered in a week? Maybe it's been discussed but I missed it.

No. And that kind of info is never leaked. Apple will announce the ship date tomorrow. But no one knows anything about true inventory levels until the preorder starts and people start matching up time of order confirmation with promised delivery date.

Hopefully they will have a couple million units for sale at launch, but maybe all units start shipping from October instead. Let's see tomorrow.

Couple million? That's a drop in the bucket. Might as well be 10K. Apple sold 13 million iPhone 6s units launch weekend. It did not release iPhone 7 sales first weekend. So if history is any guide it will need 15-20 million units.

They SOLD 13 million on launch, doesn’t mean they shipped 13 million, bet a good number waited 3-4 weeks for their phone

Yes it does. Apple only counts paid units as "sold" and only charges credit cards at actual shipping time. Maybe you are thinking of Samsung which counts any order as "sold" regardless of whether it's been paid for or not.

I’m pretty sure Apple will count a firm preorder as a sale lol

Not sure what you are laughing. Apple can't book a sale until it has cash-in-hand. Apple doesn't have cash-in-hand until the device ships. Until that time a buyer can cancel the order. There is no such thing as a "firm preorder."
