Since I got my day-1 iPhone X the GPS performance has been bad. Drifting, never locking onto satellites, just overall the worst GPS performance Ive had on any iPhone. I chalked it up to new software and let it go. Eventually as it wasn't getting better I took it to the Apple store who swapped it out for a new one. This one worked great for about a month and now the poor GPS performance has returned. I have a Qualcom chipset version.

The Apple support forums are littered with people having this problem, with no clear rhyme or reason why. There must be something with my settings.

One poster suggested popping out your sim and putting it back in, which has restored my GPS accuracy for now.

What do we think swapping the sim in and out would be doing to my profile to fix a failed GPS signal? Any thoughts on how I prevent this from coming back?

Thanks!

My X has had less than stellar GPS performance too. I’ve never heard about the removal and reinstall of the SIM card and not sure why that would help GPS performance.. I’ll give it a try see if it helps
