Here is my situation. I bought the iPhone X through Sprint and opened up a new account there. I did it because I'm presently on Verizon but I've been having problems with unreliable data connectivity even though I have full bars and on LTE. Things just won't load until toggling cellular data on/off. I figured Sprint might be better... boy was I wrong. Speed tests are abysmal and I'm in New York City.

So, I'm obviously cancelling my Sprint service and sticking with Verizon. I bought the phone outright with Sprint, and I asked them if I could keep the device and just cancel my plan. They told me I could, but that the device would not be able to be used on a different carrier for a period of 50 days-- which seems insane to me. Is there any way around this? My Verizon iPhone X order isn't due to arrive until Nov 22nd.

Thanks!
