iPhone X with the sun??

So I have the GS8 right now and I use the iris scanner, However myself and someone I work with have problems with the phone seeing our eyes in the sun resulting in having to use the fingerprint reader, When I called Samsung they said it was the IR rays from the sun causing the camera to flare and unable to see my eyes to unlock. Is this something that can tamper with Face ID on the iPhone X since it uses the IR sensors and IR camera?

(I am no where trying to bash the phone at all just a random thought I had)

I doubt they are going to know, They are the ones telling people the iPhones can fast charge out of the box.
