My dad has just upgraded from and iPhone 8 to an xr. He has bad problems with his vision. On the 8 the larger font function really helped him and worked in lots of his apps. On the xr it will work in some apps but not all. In particular Facebook and BBC news. Not worked on the iPhone 8 but not on his new phone.
Updated software but didn’t help and the feature is definitely switched on

I just tested FB on my work-issued XR and the text size increased accordingly with the slider. Once I enabled the "Larger Accessibility Sizes" toggle the text on FB didn't get any larger.

Guessing some apps may not support the "Larger Accessibility Sizes"? Or it's bug. I've noticed on both my XR and X that the phone isn't always consistent with the text sizing. The text in the settings menu will stay huge while the text in Messages stay small. Keep tweaking the settings.

Have you enabled "Display Zoom" for him?

You have nothing to do. The resolution is the problem on Iphone XR.

XR font size

Hi folks, Been reading some comments about the font being small on the XR being small and display zoom not making a huge amount of difference .I'd be interested to hear more about this .How does it compare to the max? Does display zoom and dynamic font size help at all? I have a vision...
