iPhone XR call problem

So I've had the XR since January 2019 with Verizon and am having an annoying issue with calls. Sometimes when someone calls me their call goes straight to voicemail and can't even get through to me. I've been missing important calls randomly for months. DND is off and did a lot of troubleshooting with Verizon. They even sent me a replacement phone and later that same day I had a family member call me and it went straight to vm even though we were in the same room with perfect signal. If I turn airplane mode on and off then it seems to work again for a while. It's all random. It will work perfectly fine sometimes and then sometimes I won't receive calls for who knows how long. Another way to get through is with FaceTime. It seems the data portion is working just not the actually calls from the Verizon network. Everything is up to date software wise. Anyone have this issue or some insight?

I bought the XR last week and i was having the same issue for the first few days. Seems ok at the moment.
