You've got 5 weeks at the earliest to have the phone in hand, there will be PLENTY of offerings between then and now.
I saw a thread on Slickdeals and bought a throwaway XR case on Amazon today for $1.65. I figure if I end up keeping the XR I’ll just get a better case down the line.
