New forum member. Hope this is the right place to ask. Just bought a 16e and currently using XR. My question is how easy/hard is it to transfer from one phone to another? I assume e sim means I don’t need to put my existing sim into the new 16e, if this is the case, what do I do instead? Would love step by step instructions. I’m 68 and fairly tech savvy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the XR updated to the last iOS version available for that model (should be 18) ? In that case just keep them close while you are initializing the new iPhone 16e and it should ask you if you want to transfer your data automatically. It will take a while, depending on what you have on the phone.
You could also restore from an iCloud backup if you have one available.
