iPhone XR iPhone XR vs iPhone 9?

I have been holding out for this new iphone but the more I think about it the XR might be the better choice for me. I have a 7 plus at the min, the reason I like the 7 plus is telephoto lens and the battery life. I'm pretty sure the new iphone won't have a telephoto lens and it will probably have the same average battery life as the 7/8 whereas the XR has probably the best battery life out of any iphone. The new processor doesn't really impress me much, Okay it will be cheaper, smaller again doesn't bother me. Should I just bite the bullet and get the XR?
 
I’d go with the regular 11 in that case - I find the ultra wide too interesting to pass up, everything else should be the same as the XR, or slightly better.
 
Well we still don’t know either what camera or battery life the new iPhone SE (won’t be called 9) will have. So I’m am not sure how you can compare it to any other option in a meaningful way until those things are known. Should be 5 more days if you can wait.

As for the Xr, it’s fine, but you’re getting a better main camera, night mode, ultra wide, and better battery life (and a newer processor) for $100 on the 11, which is clearly worth it to me.

Yeah that's assuming retail price. I can get the XR for £549, the 11 is £749
 
I'd go XR for the size and more modern look. XR still holds up and will for awhile.

The only place the 11 is $100 more than the XR is the states. In Canada the XR is $800 CAD and the 11 is $980 CAD.

I would definitely recommend the 11 over the XR.

I haven’t compared the specs between the 11 and the new 9 to see how they potentially compare
