I got 750 points in the single core test of Geekbench 5 running my iPhone XS in low power mode. Thats basically the same as Samsungs latest flagships S10/Note10 in their high power mode. I have seen game tests as well with GFXBench where the iPhone XS can get 50-100% higher frame rate. Why are Apple so far ahead or why are Android phones so far behind?

My iPhone 8 gets gets 835 single thread in geekbench 5. Not bad for something from 2017. Multithreaded is 2,460

there's a lot more to a smartphone experience than a synthetic benchmark score. Best way to compare the two is use them both. You'll soon realize that a Geekbench score isn't really relevant when choosing a phone.

Of course, but it is still a great reference to use.
