Three months ago I enabled a second data only esim on my IPhone XS Max. My employer has a bad data plan on my main line, hence I use the esim as the primary data connection and my physical sim as main voice line. Since then I am having recurring issues with call quality with poor voice quality and the side often unable to hear me. The bars on the phone are the esim and when I engage a voice call it goes to flat.
I went to Apple a couple of times but they suggest there is no HW issue. I did a complete reset but issue still there. Not sure if this is a result of my specific setup or a generic iPhone XS Max issue. The apple forums have threads of chronic dropped calls. My calls do not drop but rather have poor voice connection with the other party often unable to hear me.
I spent a fortune on this phone and I am very close to switching to Android......
