iPhone XS / Max Camera Screen Protectors?

I was browsing Amazon and noticed glass screen protectors for the camera on the XS were being sold. Anyone using these things? Useful, or really not? Never really thought about such a thing before on my previous gen iPhones, but the camera protrusion on the X/XS is pretty large.

I've used them in the past on my Plus phones with the dual lenses, they're a real pain to get to stick. With that being said, I guess it's better protection than not having them.

I bought some and have yet to apply them, but I just don't know if adding a piece of cheap glass on top of the existing camera lens is a good idea in terms of glare/photo quality.
