Ohio - GO BUCKEYES!
Hello friends:
Are there any iPhone XS Max users that have noticed that their phones are much slower? I know it's now two years old, but this is really disappointing!

Thanks in advance!

No I can’t say that I have.. how much space do you have left on your phone? If it’s pretty full it may start to chug a bit. If it’s not full try a hard restart. Push and hold the sleep and volume down until the screen turns black.

Oops sorry I was thinking of another phone.. push the sleep button vol up and hold vol down, like 1,2,3

If the issue still happens after doing a reset, try doing a backup followed by erase all contents, then restore from backup.

I just passed on my Xs Max to my son for a new 12 Pro Max. I don't see any significant regular use increase in the 12 Pro, so I guess the Xs was still keeping up pretty well.

I have a 12 mini and my wife has a Xs, and there’s no appreciable difference in speed. No way should a Xs feel slow at this point. Battery was my first thought.

FWIW. I have an xs max on 14.4 b1. It really doesn't feel like it slowed down at all. As others have said you might either 1) want to reset the phone or 2) turn if off.

The other thing is to sync it with itunes to get upload and delete the application logs.

I am not noticing a substantial performance drop on my 8, I wouldn't think the Xs series would suddenly slouch!

My Xs Max feels great, however I did get it replaced in October 2020, so it still feels brand new (maybe a placebo effect)? I am only using 35% of storage so maybe that could be part of the reason.

My wife's Xs Max has been acting up lately, started a couple of months ago. There's days where it will drain battery over 4x more quickly than normal. Other times it has randomly dialed her brother on it's own, for example 2 nights ago @ 3am, lol. I've done all t/s including reset, next step is... sigh... 12 Pro Max I guess :D

Good catch my friend! My battery health is 93%.

93% Battery health is actually not that bad, Apple only recommended changing batteries when you get close to the 80% mark. In the Battery health App does it say that your iphone is operating at Peak Performance, or does it say something along the lines that your ”iphone recently shut down to protect the battery etc“, if it says this then your iphone will be throttled hence slightly slower performance.
