So I had previously owned a 7+ 128GB and decided to downgrade the storage to 64GB on my new iPhone XS Max and use iCloud as I thought this would have been a cheaper alternative to the 256GB model. There was around 60/70GB (majority of it photos and videos) on my 7+ so I naturally had to decrease the size to fit it all on my new iPhone. I then set up iCloud for the first time and transferred/deleted my photos and also deleted some apps and was left with around 25GB (3GB of the compressed photos left on the iPhone). I made a backup with my Macbook and transferred it to my new iPhone Max and this is when the problems started. I would keep getting notifications saying my iPhone storage was full yet when I went to settings I clearly had 35/40GB apparently free? I redone the backup around 3/4 times and was still getting the notifications and it was even making some of my apps crash which used memory such as Email and Whatsapp. I even set up the iPhone Max as a new phone, logged into iCloud using my Apple ID, downloaded my apps/compressed photos from iCloud and again the same problem was occurring. Apple support offered me no help and basically told me it was a known fault and it's under review but I dunno how widespread it is. I've owned previously 5 iPhones and never had this problem. I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware glitch. It's quite frustrating as I've paid £1099 for a phone that is only holding 20GB. Has anyone experienced anything like this before and found a solution?

You are using a beta and all bets are off. I think this is better addressed in the Beta.

Since this screenshot I have removed the beta and still no joy. The new iPhone obviously would be running the latest GM software. I'm really confused as to what's the problem.
