Hello All -

Had an interesting experience. I have an iPhone XS Max 512 Gb model. Was overseas yesterday and returned to my province in Canada yesterday. You have to love those time differences when you arrive just after you left ;-)

Anyway, was using my phone right up to the minute of needing to shut the phone off. Put it into airplane mode, and landed 8.5 hours later. When I landed, 'No Service' came up. Came home, did all the trouble-shooting steps you'd expect (reset network settings, then reset all settings). Finally downloaded the official IOS 12.1.1 IPSW and restored as new. No joy.

Took my sim and put into into two other iPhones then, later, a couple of other iPhone models. Perfect connection. No other SIMs would work in my phone. Called Apple, and get a Senior Service Adviser (or whatever they're called). The agent confirmed OTHER people were also having this issue (though not necessarily due to the same cause). The carrier confirmed no issues such as blocked IMEI on their end and in their opinion was a hardware/warranty issue.

Anyone else experience this? The second, different Senior agent I spoke with today accepted the phone as a hardware fault and return but, still doesn't really address the root cause (which I doubt I will ever know). I'm still interested are, like the first Agen stated, "many others" also seeing this issue in the last two days?
