This is probably just the way things are, but figured i'd ask the question in case there is some work around i'm not aware of.

I have the latest jailbroken iphone firmware installed.. i do run things like beejive and sbsettings and quicksms (background)..

Frequently my apps wont launch, they'll start to then crash.. I've tested the free memory at these points at it does get very low, say 6MB or so.. which sortof makes sense..

Often i can just use sbsettings processes to kill some background things like mail or safari if they are running, but there are times a reboot is needed.

Is this just the way it goes.. or is there a way to increase memory.. maybe a wipe of the device, changing partition sizes etc? Or some other method..

Thanks for any ideas.

Theres no way to increase your physical memory.
Best thing I would suggest is to restart it every once in a while. Just like a computer when you leave it on for many days it starts to get slower and buggy.
