Hi there,
I am in Australia and I signed up with Optus for 24 months. My iphone3g is a 16GB/white one. Optus unlocked the iphone for free as I have signed up the contract. It works properly with the brand new SIM card (say SIM A)
I tried to put another Optus SIM card (say SIM B) into iphone3G, it did ask for connecting to itunes for the first time. I reckon it is a must as this procedure is stated in Apple knowledgebase.
Nevertheless, once I switch off and on the iphone3G again (with SIM B stayed inside the iphone3G), it asked me to connect itunes again. It's ok if I have the computer & itunes with me.
I can imagine I will be in big trouble if:
- I use this SIM B with iphone 3G, while
- I do not have any access to itunes
- and I must power off/on iphone3G under certain circumstance (e.g., system hang)
Under the above situation, I can only dial Emergency number with my iphone 3G....
Did anyone try the above?
Thanks a lot..!
