It seems to me that iPhone 4 owners got left out with iOS 6. I'm not seeing anything worth the upgrade. Tell me if I missed something amazing!

There are always going to be features from the current OS that don't work on previous models, nor is this unique to phones (though is more noticeable due to the more rapid upgrade cycle).

a few unmentioned things the wife and I have found, vibrate patterns under each alert tone and load of new emoji icons. It also feels more responsive than iOS5 did but that may be due to the clean restore.

Do not disturb and the "Reply with Message" when getting a phone call were enough reason for me.

not going to bother upgrading my 4 to ios6, runs like a dog under ios5.

Will wait for my iPhone 5 on Friday to test the new OS out.

I don't have an iPhone 4 but a 3gs and I've had the GM on my phone for a few days now. I'm blow away by how much smoother my phone is. There were a few cool features here and there but my message application not taking ten seconds or more to open after not being rebooted for awhile is clearly worth it to me. I really thought ios6 was going to bog down the 3gs, but honestly it's made my phone way better.

I may actually not throw it through a window before my upgrade comes up on Oct 13th. :D

I've had ios 6 on my iphone 4 for 5 days now and it runs a lot better then ios 5 did. and no it isn't just in my head.

For that matter I have the latest iOS 5 and my IP4 is not slow at all.

things load a lot faster now. i like that you don't have to put your password in every time you update apps.

iTunes match now streams (instead of downloading all songs to your phone where you would need to delete them manually later - this killed my storage)

If I wasn't getting a 5, I would have stuck with jailbroken ios5, the few tweaks that I used (Zephyr, Switchy, Activator, NCsettings) were worth far more to me than anything ios6 has to offer. Which is weird, because every previous iOS update has been a big improvement and I could never have gone back.

I think I will hold off until the Google Maps app is out. Don't see any compelling reasons to upgrade and in fact I LOSE features. No thanks.

you mean
dont let you you asking what he wants to get out of it AFTER you said "turn by turn...etc.?" fool us ;)
Again, look at the question mark -- not period -- after that first group of words, there.

Regardless, imagination or not, 6 seems to running more smoothly than 5 did.

The Do Not Disturb feature, standing alone, makes the upgrade worth it to me. I have all kinds of alerts set up on my credit cards and they -- AMEX especially -- seem to process those in the middle of the night.
