Hi all,
I have an iPhone4, AT&T, JB 4.1(8B117)--should I update and use TinyUmbrella? I obviously missed some updates, but I really need the JB for MyWi(which is paid for).

I don't want to miss out on updates and the ability to jailbreak.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do you need your phone to be unlocked?

If not, then go for it. 4.3.1 seems to work great for most people, especially if they're not using an older baseband to keep their phone unlocked.

TinyUmbrella will be useful for you if you're hoping for a software unlock in the future and want to save your current baseband. If you don't care about the unlock, just update to stock 4.3.1 firmware and then use redsn0w. Good to go.

The advantage of the unlock is if I travel internationally and want to buy prepaid SIM cards, right? Or to use it on Tmobile, which I won't... My firmware is 02.10.04. Is that a good one?

The highest unlockable bb is 1.59. You'll have to decide if you want to save it. Bb can't be downgraded.
