Iphone4 mic issue??

I can hear perfectly regardless if speaker or not or even headset. However no one can hear me unless I plug in my headset or put my phone in speaker then they can hear me. Any fix for this? I've read something about bottom left speaker going bad. But kinda confused. Any help gladly appreciate
