iPhone4 reception question about skin

Most places I go the death grip will not actually make me drop a call but once in a while it does. I ordered a Wrapsol ultra skin with plans to just put it on the back but I was wondering if anyone has had luck using the side pieces to prevent the death grip? I like the way my iPhone looks without a bumper so hoping this a good option.

from my experiences bridging the gap is bad, but so is being close to the gap even if your not touching it. A skin helps me quite a bit, probably not as much as say a bumper though.

Guess I will just try it... Come to think of it I will probably just end up throwing away the extra parts of the wrapsol kit anyways so no real loss for a trial and error run... When I get around to it I will put it on and post if it helped.
