iPhone4 Speaker problem - Noise

Hi ! I bought the iPhone4 a few weeks ago in an Apple Store in Canada... for the past 3-4 days, my speaker has been having some problems... it works, just not as loud and as clear as it used to.. it's very noisy, glitchy and I can't understand anything when someone talks, the music sounds horrible.. i didn't drop it, didn't put it in water or anything.. it just happened and is now getting worse and worse.. gradually.. i'm a bit perplexed

I tried reinstalling the firmware, uninstalling skype,... any ideas ? I'll call Apple Tech tomorrow but just thought some of you might have some insights... I'll also post what they tell me might be the problem....
