iPhone X iPhones and google home app with a google assistant speaker issues ?

I just got a Sony XB501G which is similar to a AirPod or whatever apple version is, echo speaker and google HomePod. This is just a Sony speaker with built in assistant baked into the speaker m. I am trying to set it up and keep getting a WiFi issue. Not sure if it’s a WiFi issue or a speaker issue
