Hi all, I've been around the iPhone 'scene' now for a couple of years now and also admin a Swedish forum specifically targetting iPhone users looking to JB/unlock.

Prior to the iPhone 3G launch in Sweden (1st Gen was never marketed here), Apple did what they normally do before deciding on which operators to contract - assessing operators ability to support the iPhone infrastructure through technical due diligence, load testing networks and what not. One provider (Telia) was awarded exclusive rights and later on two additional providers (Telenor and TRE(3) ) joined the ranks.

One major player was left out - Tele2. Much to their $$$$$grief they decided to import factory unlocked iPhones from Italy and market them with 24 mths contracts like everyone else and quite a large number of users signed up for this.

Now, there are heaps of users signing up to our forum just to vent and ask if it's them who're at fault or if their iPhones are broken... all of them are experiencing major issues with dropped calls, lack of 3G service and iPhones refusing to even active with Tele2 SIM-cards. Remember, these are factory unlocks and as most of the Tele2 users tend to be commercial their phones aren't even jailbroken. Tele2 does the ostrich trick - head in sand - and refuses to admit to anything.

Are we alone struggling this battle or does anyone know of any other operators where services simply does not play ball with a factory unlocked 3G or 3GS?
