iPhoto 08 Issues dragging photos to desktop

I am using iPhoto 08' and 95% of the pictures I can drag to the desktop, but there are a small number that won't allow me to drag to the desktop. I get the citcle with a slash through it icon. What's the deal?

I can do that but if I want to export from a lot of different events its kind of annoying. The problem is sometimes I can drag and drop one picture and if I try that same picture again it wont let me. There is something going on here, I wish I could get it fixed.

The same thing has happened to me for no apparent reason. It actually happened the other day. One pic from one event is OK, while another picture from the same event is not. It seems like a bug to me and not a problem with the image. I find if I close iPhoto and reopen it, then it's OK. It's only happened 2 or 3 times since last year, so not a huge deal.
