This is a function that I know for a fact is possible, and I'd be very surprised if it isn't available somewhere... much less surprised if I'm just being a dork about finding it (if it were a snake, etc).
What is it, then? I want to either search my library to find photos of a certain dimension, or to create a smart album using the same criteria. (I'm quite sure the same engine is used for the two approaches.)
Obviously the metadata is there, and a small group of that "advanced" metadata is available as criteria when creating a smart album (aperture, etc). And Spotlight can search by that data, as well.
So what's the deal? I need to find photos that have been scanned and cropped (like, 10 years ago), and I need to be able to assign keywords to them. Thus, I need to do it from within iPhoto. I'd like to be able to do something like... "height is less than 1000." But size is simply not to be found as a search or smart album criteria, unless I'm just looking in the wrong neighborhood.
Where do I look? Do I need a plugin? How should I approach this?
