Hi!
The new iPhoto 08 looks like a nice step up, i normally use iView to catalogue my photos and it shows full preview of RAW's just like iPhoto, but when i want to work on a photo i simply right click a photo in iView and select open in Photoshop.. i can also use show file in finder and double click it.
How do i open a RAW file in Photoshop from iPhoto?

Thanks :)

totally a guess and probably without merit at that.

but I would think you would have to go through the steps of exporting it as the original out of iPhoto, then opening in Photoshop.

perhaps someone or you could make an apple script for it?

iPhoto->preferences->general->edit in : application

This allows you to edit it in the application of your choice but to my knowledge thats all photos not just RAW. (I only have jpegs from my camera)

Also right/ctrl click allows you to open in a separate editor.
