iPhoto 08 Question

OK, you can call me stupid, but I haven't got a chance to play around with iLife 08 much and am just starting to move my photo library to iPhoto 08 completely.

The problem I have is the default Events that are created, one for each day that has photos tagged to it. Is there a way for me to delete all of these events and create new ones without deleting any photos? Because every time I try to get rid of an event, the photos go too.

you can merge events by dragging on on another, and you can split them by highlighting the photos in an event that you want to seperate and click (i think its create new event or somthing similar.) http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/#iphoto
