Hi.

Is there any way to back up iPhoto 09 .. I spent a ton of time organizing and labeling pics.

I mean back it up and save what I did without having to run time machine and not having to back up my entire computer..?

Thanks.

Go to your Pictures folder, find the iPhoto Library file, and back that up to whatever media you wish. That contains everything you need to backup for iPhoto.

Nice.. but I have a question now.. what if I want to use the pictures in windows as well?

The iPhoto Library looks like a special kind of Mac-only file, but it's only a Folder that OS X displays in Finder like a single file.

You can drag iPhoto Library to a Windows drive (or mount it in Windows via Samba if you share it) and you'll be able to navigate through the directories as normal. You would have iPhoto-specific files in there, but the Originals folder contains all the original photos in event-specific folders, and they are just standard jpgs or whatever picture type your camera(s) use(s).
