iPhoto 09 Issue

Hello..

I have iPhoto 09. Strange thing is happening. I click on a picture to add the "Name" to the photo and the picture will open up to full size and then the screen will go black? This doesn't happen on all the photos just some of them. Anything I should be doing differently? Or is there something I can do to take care of the problem?

I should also add the photo's are on a server that has had the permissions set to allow everyone access. I looked at the "get info" this is what I see.

I have the folder shared via smb://xxxxxx

However when I select all of the folders and files in the group I get the following: You have mixed access. I don't know if this is the issue or not. I have a feeling it is.
