A couple of things I've noticed in the latest iPhoto ;11 (9.3) update...

When exporting a picture, it now remembers your previous export location, rather than defaulting back to the Pictures folder, very useful.

The iPhoto library icons have changed, they used to be like this...
iPhoto_Library_Icon.png

but its now like this...

Wonder why they made the change.

This is a rip off! Whilst Aperture 3 might be a good piece of software, iPhoto does everything that I need for the current computer.

I NOW can't use my existing iPhoto library and in order to use it, I must pay $80!!! I DO NOT WANT APERTURE!!

Can anyone help...

Apologies for the rant as I did not ask for aperture.. I do not have a retina display and now feel conned by Apple!

 Thanks for sharing  I think you'd be better to start your own thread if you want help and Apple don't force Aperture on you, and its not just for retina macs

Thanks for the export tip satkin2, i like to archive to a NAS every now and then and this will speed it up. I wish there was an better backup/archive option in iPhoto than juts exporting each event as 'original' files to a different folder
