Hi everyone,

I have been having some trouble with iPhoto for the last month. Every time I open iPhoto I get the beach-ball for a minute or so. I have also encountered other strange things. Sometimes when I am looking at a photo and then minimize back to the other photos in the album all the photos disappear and leave me with just the grey background. If I go back to events and then re-enter the album, it is still just grey emptiness. Only a matter of time seems to bring the photos back.

I am totally up-to-date with 10.6.7 and iPhoto 9.1.3. I have tried many things with no success. I have rebuilt my library of only 262 photos. I have deleted each event one at time to see if it was a rogue photo causing the trouble. I have vacuumed the library from terminal. I have deleted iphoto preference files. I have used the iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild. I have deleted iPhoto and reinstalled, trying it before and after the 9.1.3 update. Even if I setup iPhoto with a brand new library without photos it still does the freezing when it opens. I don't have this issue on my other 2 Macs. I have also repaired permissions and have no nefarious or strange programs on my Mac.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I appreciate your help. This is terribly annoying.
