I am trying to upgrade my various iPhoto libraries I have had over the years. My libraries under iPhoto '09 upgraded like a charm. However, when I try to upgrade older libraries, iPhoto '11 asks me to install the iPhotoLibraryUpgradeTool, of which I presume is already installed since iPhoto '11 can already upgrade '09 photos.

Any suggestions as to upgrading older libraries into iPhoto '11 would be much appreciated:). Thx.

Updates

Yup! All iPhoto updates are current.

FWIW, I have tried 2 methods of upgrading old libraries to no avail:
1) Holding the Alt/Option key then selecting the library
2) Double clicking on the older library

Both method leads to the same result, where I am asked to install iPhotoLibraryUpgradeTool.

Sounds like you might have an incomplete install, you could try reinstalling iPhoto '11, rerun Software Update for any updates and then try upgrading the old libraries again.

Update:(

Hi Folks,

Here is a screenshot of the error message I get when I try to either click on an old iPhoto library or holding alt/option during iPhoto startup. I have reinstalled iPhoto to no avail.

Thanks.
