I just received my iMac G5 a few days ago and I've been playing around with it quite a bit.

After editing a photo in iPhoto 5, I clicked on "Get Info." Under the "Camera" subsection, nothing is listed under make or model (I didn't import the photo from a camera), but it does say "Software: Adobe Photoshop 7.0."

Is it possible that iPhoto uses Photoshop 7.0 as its editor?

NO, it could be that either its a PSD file format or you had edited the image with PS last and do not remember.

How many people who buy a new Mac and get iLife 2005 will have PS installed? :)

Now that you mention it, I had edited that photo in Photoshop once before. Truth be told, iPhoto made it look better. That probably has more to do with my very amateur PS skills than anything, however. ;)

Thanks for the response.

ya photoshop in the hands of someone that is willing to take the time to learn it knows no bounds ... but in the hands of someone that has never used it, they might as well just use generic software ... it will look better

If you every tried PS 1.0 it looks and feels a lot like SuperPaint. :)

My memories in the DTP world and image manipulation. :)
