iPhoto 6.0.6, can't import anymore

I recently had this problem that I can't import pictures saved in a folder anymore. I click on import from file and select the folder and iPhoto starts importing but no picture shows up in the preview window and after a secon or so it says finishing import and that's it. I can, however, import from my camera. That is really odd.
Any tips???
