I have a rather large library (12000+) of photos that I ran a Duplicate Photo utility (dupeGuru PE) search on. The utility only allowed me to move the photos to the trash (outside of the iPhoto program itself). It analyzes each photo looking for duplicates, not just photos using the same name.

Of course, now when i go into my library, the duplicate thumbnails still show up in my library (even though they arent linked to a photo file anymore). How can I correct this? Deleting them one by one is impossible as I dont have a list of the dup's and there were over 2000 of them!

Rebuilding the thumbnails just produces empty thumbnails, but the entries are still in the library for the photos.

(btw IphotoDiet doesn't work with the latest version of iPhoto, so thats not an option. And yes, I did backup my library before doing this! If theres a better way to remove dupes let me know!)

Thanks in advance
