My colleague recently bought a new MacBook Pro 15" with Snow Leopard. We migrated all his apps and data from a five-year-old Mac with Leopard installed.

Now every time we open iPhoto 9.1.1 the app asks if we want to upgrade the library. This takes a minute or two to complete. Then the events view starts to load which won't finish unless you click a different view first and then return to the events view.

I tried rebuilding the library by holding shift-option while starting iPhoto. This doesn't solve the problem however.

I am not sure which version of iLife was on the old Mac, I do know that the new MacBook has all available updates installed.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? I've looked through this forum and the official Apple forum but couldn't find anything useful.

Thanks in advance!
