I have the installed GM build but software update not showing the new iPhoto despite articles saying it should.

Is it showing up for anyone else.

I have now installed 10.9 GM on 2 machines and neither one has an update for iPhoto 9.4.7.

iPhoto is showing 9.4.3 ....

Any ideas ?

I think you have to download it from the Dev Center.

Edit: it's just appeared in SU on the MAS.

It should appear under the Updates section in the Mac App Store. If it helps at all mine didn't show up until a couple hours after I started downloading the GM version of Mavericks.

Very bizarre.

Still nothing and I have installed on 3 Macs.

All Macs went straight from ML --> 10.9 GM.

I saw others on Mac Developers forum with same issue...

Yeah, I am seeing the same thing in the Dev forums. There's some hints as to where it may have gone.

Did you try this? Go to the "View My Account" part of the App Store. You'll find a place to manage your hidden items. The button "upgrade Mavericks" should actually read "Unhide" like any other app you hide, but this appears to be a bug.

Seems to have helped some people.

iphoto

Here it downloads only 9.4.3.

Where is the latest version?

Fresh upgrade from 10.8 to GM will not make 9.4.7 visible for upgrade.

Thanks for the link!

64 bit

Surprised that no one has mentioned that the 9.4.7 update finally makes iPhoto 64 bit.

Wow. Seriously? That's pretty awesome. All the iLife apps are in need of some lovin' from the technical standpoint, not to mention feature-wise.

iMovie in particular could use some work under the hood. 64-bit, using all CPU cores, GPU acceleration, all that good stuff.

Awesome, it works. Is there any similar update for aperture? Since I installed mavericks aperture won't open my photo library

Nope, Apple hasn't released a new version of Aperture. You'll either have to restore you library from a backup or wait until Aperture gets updated.

Chances are they'll release an update either before or on the day of Mavericks release.

Library Sharing is Gone in 9.4.7?

I am running iPhoto 9.4.7 and cannot find the Library Sharing option. Is anyone else able to resolve this issue?

Nope, Apple hasn't released a new version of Aperture. You'll either have to restore you library from a backup or wait until Aperture gets updated.

You can also go to your ~/Library/Preferences folder and (risky, may lose some important settings):

Delete com.apple.Aperture.plist
Delete com.apple.iApps.plist
Delete com.apple.iPhoto.plist

Empty your trash and REBOOT then

Open Aperture and start a new Aperture only library by importing some discrete photo files (not from another library)

Re-open iPhoto, it will appear as first run again and you can select and convert a library as needed, now that Aperture won't try and open it all the time.
