Now that Yosemite upgraded my main iPhoto library to 9.6, it can't be opened by other versions of iPhoto e.g. 9.1.

Yes, I still have some other macs around that are not Yosemite converts, from which I used to open the shared library directly. It's pretty frustrating to read this app needs 10.10 to install when trying to download.

Anybody aware of a work around to install iPhoto 9.6 on non-Yosemite otherwise thanks Apple for breaking an application version continuity just because of Yosemite ...
