iPhoto, Albums and Library ?

Can you get rid of photos in the Library once they are in an album and have them not be removed from the album as well.

I would like to organize all my pics in albums and not have them two places.

No. The Library is a store for all the photos. Albums simply reference the Library. If you delete a picture from the Library it is deleted from all albums.

Note that there is only one picture: the one in the Library. It does not get copied into each Album.
