What are ya'll using for an alternative to iPhoto, I am looking for something that is not to expensive and if at all free. Would like to do a little editing and what not. Just looking around to see what the best alternative to iPhoto is. Thanks

Have you looked at Picasa? If you're not afraid of Google, then it could be a decent, free alternative for you.

I will look at picasa and see what it is all about. Is it a third party app or internet based storage?

I use Picasa on my Windows stuff. It has the option of uploading to Google's web albums, but it's not required. I actually found some of its features to perform better than iPhoto. For example, it was my impression that the red-eye tool was more reliable and quicker.

I also played around with a trial of Lightroom. It was way too complex for my needs.
